This is a social event and open house for the community to meet, mingle, “wine down” and have a chance to see what life is like in Denver’s Uptown neighborhood. Members of the community and professionals are all welcome. Please RSVP so we can plan our refreshments but you are also welcome to drop in. Dior: From Paris to the World surveys 70 years of the house of Dior’s enduring legacy and its global influence. A selection of more than 200 couture dresses, as well as accessories, costume jewelry, photographs, drawings, runway videos, and other archival material, will trace the history of the iconic haute couture fashion house, its founder, Christian Dior, and the subsequent artistic directors who carried Dior’s vision into the 21st century.

Come down and celebrate the 30th Annual The Salute to Wild West on Saturday, March 2nd at the Colorado Convention Center, Mile High Ballroom. This year The Salute recognizes the history of the West and celebrates the frontier spirit that built Colorado. The culture of the West will be on full display, from country and rock n’ roll music to cowboy poetry, with historical exhibits from the History Colorado Center, the Forney Museum of Transportation and the Buffalo Bill Museum, Wild West Bingo, and everything in between!

Colorado Senior Lobby's Senior Day at the Capitol 2019
Location: Scottish Rite Masonic Center

This year’s event is being held in its entirety at the historic Scottish Rite Masonic Center at 1370 Grant Street in Denver - diagonally across the street from the Capitol. Burrito and bagel breakfast is from 8AM to 9AM and the actual program is 9AM to 12:30PM. The Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General are expected to attend. One topic will be Financial Security for Older Coloradans. Legislators are invited, and several are expected to attend. Other elected and appointed officials may stop by as well. Also featured is a panel of thought leaders focused on technology-enabled evolutions in mobility, accessibility, health care for older adults. Students from MetMedia of the Metropolitan State University of Denver will be providing their energy and creativity: doing interviews, showing the results of an exciting video project they are producing. Tickets are only $10 and are going quickly.
